The Gunners might have found the perfect replacement for Arteta who has one or two more seasons left to spend at the Emirates. Portuguese star, Joao Moutinho is ready to sit down and talk to Wenger who is planning on making a big offer for the 28 year old. Despite being a bit over the age limit Wenger has gotten fans used to, Moutinho still has a lot to offer. Currently with Monaco where most said he went for the money, the Portuguese midfielder is no longer interested in staying in France. Missing out on the thrill of high stakes games and having to basically go a few steps back after he managed to win the Europa League and several titles in Portugal, Moutinho is now keen on the move.

Wenger has been watching the 28 year old for a while and might make a move this January when apparently, Arsenal will want to sign at least two new players. The Premier League seems like a certain future destination. The only thing that may vary will be the exact location. Coming to Emirates would be a massive boost for the team. Ramsey and Wilshere have spent little time together this season and that shows. The fact that they are both very young and need constant guidance on pitch could also push Wenger to meet Porto’s financial expectations. According to Metro, Arsenal will have to pay around £30million for Moutinho who is definitely worth the money.
