Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe has been “offered” to Newcastle United this summer, according to 90min.com.
The Ivorian, who cost the Gunners £72m three years ago, is believed to be available for a knockdown price, and it appears the Magpies are one of the teams who have been given the chance to sign the player.
Eddie Howe’s side have also reportedly been approached by agents or intermediaries representing two other players; Chelsea’s Timo Werner and Barcelona’s Memphis Depay.
90min.com don’t indicate whether Newcastle would be interested in signing Pepe, although they claim the North East club are in the market for a wide forward and a striker.
Arsenal are expected to sign a replacement if a buyer can be found for the 27-year-old. He has been knuckling down in preseason, trying to impress ahead of the new campaign, but there is no doubt that he will be leaving the Emirates if a club makes an acceptable offer for him before the transfer window closes.
