Arsenal, Tottenham and Aston Villa “have all made checks” on RB Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer, according to 90min.com.
Manchester United and Bayern Munich have also been heavily linked with the Austrian international in recent weeks, with the latter reportedly lining up a bid worth up to €20m (£17m).
However, it appears that Laimer could be a target for the Gunners as well. The midfielder has been compared to N’Golo Kante by observers in Germany, with his ability to break up play and set up attacks.
It doesn’t look as if Mikel Arteta’s side are actively pursuing the midfielder at this time, but they will undoubtedly be looking to strengthen their numbers in the middle of the park when the summer transfer window opens.
Wolves’ Ruben Neves and Leicester’s Youri Tielemans are both believed to be near the top of the list in terms of transfer targets, while Laimer’s international teammate, Hoffenheim’s Florian Grillitsch, has also been mentioned as a potential option.
