Arsenal Set To Reignite Bid For French Under 21 Star After Scouting Mission

Arsenal look set to revive a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Christopher Nkunku in the summer after scouting the Frenchman, according to reports.

The player’s agent confirmed in January that the Gunners had tried to sign the player on loan, but the move collapsed after the London club’s failure to agree terms with PSG.

However, scouts from Arsenal were reportedly in France on Tuesday evening to see Nkunku play against Dijon in the Ligue One fixture.

The 21-year-old started in central midfield as Thomas Tuchel’s side came out 4-0 winners on the night, with goals from Marquinhos, Kylian Mbappe, Angel Di Maria and Eric Choupo-Moting.

Nkunku has found himself back in favour in recent weeks after being used sparingly in the previous four months. The France U21 international scored against Montpellier last month after starting the 5-1 win.

He then scored and provided an assist in the 3-0 win a few days later. His start versus Dijon was his fourth in a row in Ligue One.
