Arsenal Set To Miss Out On PSG Star As Serie A Giants Confirm Talks Are Underway

Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri has said the Italian club are working on a player swap deal for Paris Saint-Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa.

The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks, but reports in Italy claim Juve are looking to swap Mattia De Sciglio for the fullback. Sarri has confirmed that talks are underway:

“The director (Fabio Paratici) told me that this swap is a possibility, but it’s not done yet. Honestly, I know very little of Kurzawa because I didn’t study his skills. Watching him on TV doesn’t mean studying him.”

It appears talks are now at a very advanced stage with PSG manager Thomas Tuchel having also confirmed that discussions are being held, which led to Kurzawa being omitted from the Ligue One side’s squad for the game against Lille this evening.

The Gunners have been focusing their efforts instead on bringing in centre-back Pablo Mari from Flamengo. The Spaniard is now in London for a medical after flying in with technical director Edu yesterday. It is believed Arsenal will have an option to buy the defender at the end of the season if the temporary move proves to be successful.
