Arsenal will make a third bid for Lorient winger Alexis Claude-Maurice, according to reports in France.
It is believed the Gunners made a second offer in the region of €16m (£14.3m) but the French club are said to be holding out for at least €20m (£17.8m).
Claude-Maurice is reportedly keen to join Arsenal, with his agent having already agreed terms with the London club over wages, but they have yet to agree on a fee.
The 21-year-old has a number of potential suitors, including the likes of West Ham, Lyon, Monaco, Lille and Borussia Monchengladbach after a standout season playing for Lorient in Ligue Two.
Claude-Maurice scored 14 goals and provided four assists in 36 appearances last campaign, with the pacey winger helping his team to a sixth-place finish in the table.
The Frenchman came through the academy at Lorient, just like Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, and it’s likely his former teammate is the one encouraging him to make the switch to the Emirates.
