Arsenal Set To Come Up Short In £37.3m Double Bid For Serie A Stars

Arsenal are likely to have a €42m (£37.3m) offer for Sampdoria duo Dennis Praet and Joachim Andersen rejected, according to Calciomercato.com.

Reports have suggested that the Gunners have made a bid for the pair but the Italian website believes Sampdoria are demanding between €55m (£49m) and €60m (£53m).

The Serie A side are said to value Praet at €25m while Andersen will only leave the club if a bid of €30m or more is tabled.

The Danish defender, in particular, is in high demand with Manchester United and Tottenham having been previously linked with the 22-year-old.

Sampdoria are likely hoping for a bidding war in order to make a substantial profit on the €1.4m they paid FC Twente for the player two years ago.

Andersen made 34 appearances for the Blucerchiati last season but despite his rising reputation, he is yet to make his debut for Denmark at senior level, having been named on the bench for his country’s last two matches in March.
