Arsenal Set To Close Remy Deal

Arsenal Set To Close Remy Deal

Rumors have it Remy has reached a verbal agreement with Arsenal. The Frenchman who just returned from Newcastle to join QPR after a one season loan deal, could not pass the chance to play in the Champions League. The 27 year old who has a great season is according to Metro, valued at about £10 million which would not be a problem for Wenger’s side. Remy could be the perfect second striker to play next to Giroud. QPR’s player can perform on both sides of the pitch but also behind the striker, having a pretty similar role to that of Wayne Rooney.

Remy would be a great transfer considering his versatility and the fact that he can play both with and instead of Giroud if necessary. He seems very well-adapted to Premier League football and he has already played next to Arsenal’s striker during their international performances.

Even though things are not cofirmed by any means, it is very encouraging to see Wenger moving a lot faster on the transfer market than usual. Many transfers are expected to take place after the World Cup in Brazil, with many players hoping to increase their price after some great international performances.

Remy is expected to perform during the group stages having to battle it out with Griezmann for a spot in Deschamps starting eleven. Even with such tough competition, the 27 year old will more than likely get a chance to play next to either Benzema or Giroud quite likely enhancing his reputation.
