Arsenal Set To Add Wolves Ace To Growing List Of Potential Summer Targets

Arsenal are targeting Wolves forward Diogo Jota as part of their summer recruitment plans, according to the Daily Mail.

The Portuguese international has been in decent form this season and he is one of the names being considered by the Gunners who are looking to sign a wide forward at the end of the season.

Jota will not be leaving Molineux for a low fee with Atletico Madrid due a percentage of any potential sale, meaning Wolves will be driving a hard bargain.

Whether the 23-year-old merits such an outlay, though, it is debatable. He may have scored 15 goals this campaign, but he has only scored six in the Premier League.

Jota’s figures have been embellished somewhat by his form in the Europa League, where he has scored nine. He scored two hat-tricks in the 4-0 wins against Besiktas and Espanyol.

The Portuguese star is also, however, an excellent all-round player, with the ability to dribble and commit opposing defenders, which may persuade manager Mikel Arteta into making a move for the player.
