Arsenal Set New Asking Price For Aubameyang After Captain Refuses Talks Over New Deal

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubmeyang will be sold for £30m when the transfer window reopens, according to the Sun.

The 30-year-old has so far resisted all attempts by the Gunners to persuade him into signing a new contract and, with his current deal set to expire next year, the London club have decided to lower their asking price.

Arsenal do not want another situation where a player leaves on a free transfer and, despite Aubameyang’s importance to the team, it seems they will reluctantly sell up this summer.

The likes of Chelsea, Manchester United Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Inter Milan have all been mentioned as possible destinations for the Gabonese international, although there have been no formal offers at this stage.

The Gunners are unlikely to find a like for like replacement for Aubameyang, with Willian having been linked with a switch to the Emirates in recent days but, with Gabriel Martinelli in the squad, they may not need one.
