Arsenal might finally start making some moves after Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool seem to be taking the lead in this summer’s race to sign Europe’s best. According to the Daily Star, Wenger will place a bid for Mario Balotelli who has repeatedly expressed his desire to join a Premier League team. Despite being one of the most talented and versatile strikers out there, the Italian international might prove to be a handful for Wenger whose biggest problems last season concerned Wilshere’s smoking habit or Giroud’s complicated love life. Balotelli is totally different from any other player who has performed for the Gunners in the Wenger era. He is more than difficult to handle and often exhibits strange behavior both on and off the pitch.

Even so, Arsenal might go through with an offer for the Italian international who is valued at £25million. If you look strictly at what he could bring to the table in terms of efficiency and skill, Balotelli looks like the perfect fit for the Gunners who are in desperate need of some fire power. The 23 year old is also well-acquainted with Premier League football after playing for City a couple of seasons ago. He has a lot of international experience despite being so young and he could work well with Giroud. Balotelli is very versatile being at his best playing as a second striker. He can also play as a winger or as a No.9 which could make him the perfect summer transfer for Wenger.
