Arsenal Scout German Prodigy

According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal have been linked with a summer move for Wolfsburg midfielder Maximilian Arnold, as the Gunners have reportedly been tracking the player’s progress with the German club.

The 19-year old has been a prodigy at Wolfsburg, and is rated highly by scouts in Germany. He began his youth career with the club in 2009, and made his first senior appearance for the club in 2011. Having played 19 matches so far, Arnold has scored 8 goals, which is credible for a midfielder. His attacking style of play has attracted Wenger’s interest, who is looking to lay foundations for the coming decade, now that Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey have proved themselves as regular starters for the senior squad.

Arnold has featured in all the youth national teams for Germany, and potentially could be an attacking threat for the senior side in the coming years. Wenger has traditionally been quick to spot such talents, and Arnold will be quite a capture for the Gunners if they can pull off a deal in the upcoming summer.
