Arsenal will have to set up a sizeable budget for the summer when several key players will finally be up for grabs. It seems that Wenger will have the chance to actually sign a striker and a defender. Coentrao and now Benzema are rumored to be leaving in July due to the fact that they are not happy with their current situation at the club. According to Metro, the Portuguese left-back is already in discussions with the Gunners for making a move and could come as a package deal with Benzema.

Things have taken a great turn for Wenger who missed out on yet another Real player. Youngster Alvaro Morata ended up playing for Juventus after Arsenal pushed for a loan deal. Apparently joining the Italian team made Ancelotti rethink the Spaniard’s future. It looks like Benzema will be ending his contract earlier than expected though as rumors have it that he only stayed with the Spaniards because they were unable to sign Suarez.

If the club is planning on making another big move this summer and if Morata is coming back, the Frenchman is very likely to change sides. Arsenal have to pull out the big guns though as a package deal could end up costing Wenger almost £50 million.
