Arsenal Ready To Return To Their Roots

Arsenal Ready To Return To Their Roots

Arsenal haven’t had so much young talent in their own back yard for a while now. For many years Wenger made some smart choices and chose the right scouts and the right players to make the step to the big team. According to Metro, three of those types of players are ready to take the Premier League by storm. They all have different playing styles and play at different positions which is great news for Arsenal who have some needs.

The first to be worth mentioning is Hector Bellerin. He has already impressed and surpassed players like Chambers in the ranks. Even though he still needs to work on his defensive skills, this 19 year old Spaniard is definitely going to make a mark on football as he did with his stunning goal vs Villa. He is very similar to Barcelona’s Jordi Alba and will probably follow in his footsteps in a couple of years.

The second name worth considering is Serge Gnabry. Unfortunately he was set back by injury and also by the fact that he has to compete with Sanchez and Walcott to make an appearance in Wenger’s first team. The 19 year old German looks like the perfect substitute for either of the two, being able to replace them successfully regardless of the situation.

Last but not least there is Chuba Akpom. Also 19, this strong, skillful striker is probably going to become a team regular in the next couple of years. Currently he is scouted by teams like Liverpool, City and Dortmund who are all willing to offer him a chance to play. Hopefully his heart will stay on at the Emirates where he will continue to grow.
