Julian Draxler who has been linked to several big European teams might end up next to Ozil according to the Daily Star. The young German international who has already made 89 appearances for Schalke despite being only 20 years of age, has a £40 million release clause which can grant any club access to his services.

Wenger who is always keen on signing young talents such as Draxler might consider cutting the 20 year olds’ 4 year contract with Schalke short in order to bring him to North London. He would make a great addition to the team regardless of his transfer restrictions. Even though Arsenal are in definite need of some firepower and some star quality players right away, a summer move would still be quite the welcome outcome for the Gunners.

Rumors that Draxler will become the next big Arsenal transfer, are coming from the same man who announced Ozil’s transfer. Norwegian TV Commentator and former Premier League player, Jan Aage Fjotoft found out that Schalke’s player was very impressed by the Gunners’ training complex.

The 20 year old German is not the only player targeted by Wenger. The Frenchman also tried reaching out to Roma for Destro’s transfer but things failed even before an offer made its way to Italy. It appears the Romans are not willing to let the 22 year old striker leave despite him being the third in line for their starting eleven.
