Arsenal are “open” to offloading both Eddie Nketiah and Ainsley Maitland-Niles this summer, according to the Sun.
The newspaper claims that the Gunners will want £20m each for the two players, and that is likely to put off potential suitors.
Nketiah has one year remaining on his current deal at the Emirates, and he has been linked with a move to West Ham in recent months. However, his contract situation will mean the Hammers and other interested parties may deem his asking price excessive.
Maitland-Niles’s situation is slightly different. He has performed well during a loan spell with West Brom, and has two years remaining on his contract. Combined with the fact he has five senior caps for England, £20m seems to be a reasonable fee to ask for.
West Brom won’t be able to afford to sign him on a permanent basis so another Premier League club may come in for him. Wolves were after the fullback last summer before the plug was pulled on the deal, so Nuno Espirito Santo’s side could be a potential option.
