Arsenal Pull Back Of Perrin Deal

Arsenal will start to look elsewhere after St. Etienne’s Loic Perrin was declared off limits by the French side. According to TalkSport, the 29 year old will not be leaving anytime soon which means Wenger will have to go through the next couple of names on his list. It is a pity though that Perrin will not be coming to the Emirates. He was versatile and experienced which looked like the exact things Arsenal need to keep things together down the middle of the pitch.

Perrin is currently St. Etienne’s captain avoided speaking about a possible move which makes things even less likely to happen. It is very likely that he will spend the rest of his career in France despite being a highly appreciated defensive midfielder.

Wenger is now going to push for Villarreal’s Gabriel Paulista who is expected to finally replace Vermaelen. The center-back is not as versatile but has a lot to offer. Valued at about £5million, the 24 year old could cover all the empty spots in Arsenal’s defense including the flanks. Currently under contract until 2018, he will be hard to sign. Hopefully though, Arsenal will make a good offer and bring in the Brazilian who has a lot of qualities the Gunners would like.

However after watching the Gunners comprehensively beat Stoke City 3-0 at the Emirates today where as usual Sanchez was the man of the match but the defence played a key supporting role, you could argue we don’t need to add the likes of Perrin or any other such defender as we look like a pretty awesome team from back to front but surely a top quality defender like Hummels would strengthen the squad.
