Arsenal Plotting Surprise Swoop For 34M Rated Midfield Lynchpin As An Alternative To Bissouma

Arsenal are readying a bid for Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves, according to reports in the English media.

The Gunners are said to be confident that a deal can be done for the Portuguese international, with a fee of £34m likely to be enough to secure the player’s services.

Neves would be a sizeable investment for Mikel Arteta’s side and if they do go ahead with a move for the 24-year-old, it’s very unlikely that they will be able to do a deal for Brighton’s Yves Bissouma as well.

Arsenal are interested in the Malian international, and the player himself is said to have his heart set on a switch to the Emirates, but it seems as though Neves is the priority target out of the two.

It must be said that the Portuguese midfielder struggled for form somewhat last season and it will be hoped that he can rediscover the levels of performance that we saw from him a couple of years ago.
