Jorginho

The Italian’s agent has spoken about the player’s situation in recent days. Joao Santos has revealed negotiations are at a “standstill” at the moment, although he emphasised that Jorginho’s priority is to remain at Arsenal.

Website Transfermarkt say that the Gunners do have the option to extend Jorginho’s contract for an additional twelve months.

Whether they will decide to trigger it may depend on how much football the 31-year-old plays between now and the end of the campaign.

Jorginho has started 6 of the last 7 games in all competitions so, at this stage, an extension could be still under consideration.
