Four Arsenal players have been nominated for this year’s Ballon d’Or with 10 of the 30 nominees coming from the Premier League. 

Manchester City both have four nominees with the likes of Haaland, Phil Foden, Rodri and Ruben Dias all nominated for the Cityzens. The only other Premier League nominee is Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

After a year where the Gunners missed out on the Premier League title by just two points, they have several players who impressed, however, the four that have been selected have had special years.

Last year’s award was won by Argentian Lionel Messi, who, alongside Christiano Ronaldo hasn’t been nominated for the first time in 21 years.
