Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – David Raya – 6/10 – made a good save from Jay Robinson but couldn’t do anything about Southamptom’s equaliser.
RB – Ben White – 8/10 – the 27-year-old set up the opening goal and should have had a second assist but Gabriel Martinelli could not turn the ball in.
CB – Jakub Kiwior – 7/10 – a very impressive display from the Polish international who made one crucial intervention to stop Kamaldeen Sulemana getting in on goal before halftime.
CB – Kieran Tierney – 8/10 – set up Martinelli for a one-on-one with a lovely ball over the top of Southampton’s defence before scoring the opener with a smart finish.
LB – Oleksandr Zinchenko – 7/10 – had a couple of sighters on goal but he couldn’t find the back of the net.
