The Spaniard was incredibly lucky not to give a goal away in the first half.

Raya was clearly very nervous. He missed a cross from a corner that forced Declan Rice to clear off the line.

He then dallied on the ball, with his clearance blocked by Julian Alvarez, and the deflection could have easily gone into the goal. The keeper also gave the ball directly to City on more than one occasion.

Raya was more composed in the second half but this performance certainly won’t end the debate about who should be the club’s No.1.
