Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – David Raya – 7/10 – the Spaniard didn’t really have much to do other than pick the ball out of the net after Taiwo Awoniyi’s goal.
RB – Ben White – 6/10 – got involved in a spat with his own teammate after the final whistle but he did do well in the build-up to a chance before the first goal when Gabriel Jesus hit the post.
CB – William Saliba – 5/10 – will be really disappointed with his part in Forest’s goal. He was simply outmuscled by Awoniyi and the Nigerian slotted the ball past Raya to make it a nervy finish for the Gunners.
CB – Gabriel – 7/10 – recovered from an injury scare to start against Forest and he didn’t put a foot wrong all night. It must be said, though, that Forest didn’t offer a lot going forward until the closing stages of the game.
LB – Oleksandr Zinchenko – 7/10 – played an important role in the opening goal with his quick throw finding Jesus, who put the ball through Matt Turner’s legs from a tight angle.
