Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – David Raya – 6/10 – spilled one cross from Simon Adingra which he got away with, but his distribution to set up counterattacks was impressive.
RB – Ben White – 5/10 – found it difficult against Kaoru Mitoma. He got a booking for pulling the Japanese international’s shirt, and he was caught out of position by the winger before Pascal Gross missed a gilt-edged chance to equalise.
CB – William Saliba – 7/10 – dominated Evan Ferguson and made one excellent tackle inside the penalty box. However, he failed to cut out Mitoma’s cross before Gross’s chance in the second half.
CB – Gabriel – 8/10 – it’s becoming a theme but the Brazilian outshone his centre-back partner with an imperious display. He’s been excellent in recent weeks.
LB – Oleksandr Zinchenko – 7/10 – you don’t often praise the Ukrainian for his defending but his positioning was on point and he didn’t have any lapses of concentration.
