Arsenal Player Ratings Vs Port Vale: Three Players Get 7/10 While Five Others Get 5

Arsenal had to wait until late in the game against League One side Port Vale before they rubberstamped their place in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

An early goal from Eberechi Eze had suggested that the Gunners would coast to victory but it took them until the 86th minute to get their second, with substitute Leandro Trossard putting the ball past keeper Joe Gauci.

Read below as we share our Arsenal player ratings for the match at Vale Park on Wednesday evening.

Goalkeeper and Defence

GK – Kepa Arrizabalaga – 6/10 – the debutant had to clear his lines a few times but he didn’t have a save to make.

RB – Ben White – 5/10 – didn’t look particularly sharp after returning from injury. His fitness continues to be a major concern.

CB – William Saliba – 7/10 – the defender had to maintain his concentration defensively and he also got an assist for the second goal.

CB – Cristhian Mosquera – 6/10 – one errant pass aside, it was another good performance from the Spaniard.

LB – Myles Lewis-Skelly – 6/10 – got the assist for Eze’s goal. Whether his touch was deliberate, though, is another matter.
