Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – David Raya – 5/10 – needed Gabriel to get him out of trouble on a couple of occasions; one where Giuliano Simeone went around him, and another when he parried a shot into a dangerous area.
RB – Ben White – 8/10 – it was arguably the defender’s best performance of the season. He has a great understanding with Saka.
CB – William Saliba – 5/10 – the Frenchman was incredibly lucky that his poor header wasn’t pounced upon by Simeone. Gabriel did just enough to bail out his centre-back partner.
CB – Gabriel – 8/10 – bailed out both Saliba and Raya in quick succession with some outstanding defending.
LB – Riccardo Calafiori – 5/10 – could have easily given away a penalty on another night, but the referee had already given a pretty soft free kick for a foul on Gabriel.
