Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – David Raya – 7/10 – he didn’t cover himself in glory by staying still for Alvarez’s penalty, but he made another decent save to prevent the Argentinian from scoring, as well as stopping a shot from Lookman.
RB – Ben White – 4/10 – conceded a penalty for handball, which was somewhat harsh, but his failure to keep track of Lookman could have easily led to a goal. Luckily, the Nigerian didn’t have his shooting boots on.
CB – William Saliba – 6/10 – the France international is sometimes too relaxed in possession, but he did his defensive work well.
CB – Gabriel – 7/10 – the centre-back wasn’t the best on the ball either, but he made a great block to stop Griezmann from scoring in the second half.
LB – Piero Hincapie – 7/10 – the Ecuadorian was rock solid defensively, but he did have a chance to score, which he squandered, after some good work from Noni Madueke.
