Arsenal Plan Ahead And Hope To Sign Reus Sometime Next Summer

Marco Reus has been repeatedly linked to Arsenal this summer. Even so, the German international failed to complete a transfer to the Emirates. The reason why Wenger refused to make an offer for the 25 year old is that Arsenal will be able to sign Reus for £20million next summer. His buy-out clause will drop and the Gunners will be there to pay Dortmund. According to Metro, Wenger had to choose between Sanchez and Reus. They decided to go with Sanchez because an opportunity like this comes very rarely. Reus on the other hand will be even cheaper to sign next year which proves once again that Arsenal’s manager is a truly calculating person. He managed to make the Gunners one of the most profitable franchises in the world and even paid off the club’s new stadium.

Now, the Frenchman looks set on investing in players who can bring trophies to North London. Reus is one of those players. Things worked out well for Arsenal, who will wait and see if the German international recovers well from his injury. The Premier League is a lot tougher than the Bundesliga which means players either have to be very young or very strong or both in order to make a name for themselves.

Arsenal will have to fight for Reus’s signature though as Real, Liverpool and both Manchester sides have also been scouting the German international for a while. It is very unlikely that they will make a move on the 25 year old who is currently more expensive than his future buy-out clause.
