Arsenal are likely to be “open” to selling both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah in the summer, according to Football.London.
The two strikers have contracts that expire in 2022 and, with neither close to signing an extension, it seems as though the Gunners are willing to listen to offers for the pair.
Lacazette’s departure would not be that surprising as he has been in and out of manager Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup since the Spaniard arrived over a year ago. The Frenchman’s form has also been streaky with long spells without a goal. He has, however, been in good form in recent weeks.
The situation surrounding Nketiah is slightly less clear-cut. The 21-year-old is still relatively young and, while he hasn’t developed this season as Arteta may have hoped, they may live to regret selling him. He does have the knack for scoring goals and if he starts banging them in on a regular basis for the another Premier League team, questions will be asked about his sale.
