Barcelona have put defender Samuel Umtiti on the transfer list, according to reports in the Catalan media.

The La Liga champions are said to be reshaping their squad ahead of next season with the France international likely to be one of the casualties.

Umtiti is reportedly one of Arsenal’s top summer transfer targets and could be available for as little as £30m.

The Gunners will, however, face competition if they want to secure a deal for the 25-year-old. Juventus are also believed to be keen on recruiting the Frenchman who, until this season, was a regular first-team player for Barca.

Umtiti has made just 14 appearances in all competitions this campaign, mainly due to a knee problem that kept him out for four months. It is believed there is a concern that the injury could reoccur in the future.

Considering Arsenal’s struggles at the back this season, the Gunners are unlikely to be deterred by such an issue as they try to strengthen their backline on a limited transfer budget.
