Arsenal Obligated To Move Schneiderlin Up Their Wanted List

Wenger has a lot to look forward too for this January. With the squad proving to be very thin even after a couple of great transfers, the Frenchman will have to find quick solutions. Unfortunately there are very few chances to actually sign someone as a long term solution. Most players who are currently with big teams are extending their contracts and others are waiting for their contracts to expire in order to make more money off of their move. Arsenal are faced with tough decisions ahead after targets are being removed off their list one by one. Adrien Rabiot is the latest to be removed off of Wenger’s list after re-signing with PSG.

Arsenal’s manager is now directing his attention towards Morgan Schneiderlin who has been scouted by the Gunners for a while now. It will be hard though to convince Southampton to let their midfielder go.

The North Londoners are also considering transferring one or two defenders. They have already made offers but nothing seems to be confirmed yet. According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester United’s Chris Smalling might be offered a deal as well. He is a third option for Wenger who is focusing on bringing in Ron Vlaar or Virgil van Dijk who are more likely to accept a deal and come to the Emirates. Hopefully Wenger will find a way to convince one of the three defenders to join Arsenal as clearly they need reinforcements.
