Gary Neville Names The 2 Players That Could Help Arsenal Win The Title This Season

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville says he is more confident that Arsenal can win the Premier League this campaign due to the presence of Declan Rice and William Saliba.

Rice was signed from West Ham for £105m last summer, while Saliba missed last season’s run-in due to injury, and, speaking to fans on The Overlap, Neville said the pair could prove to be the difference for the Gunners:

“I think you’re the best team at the moment, the performance levels, you’re playing better than City and Liverpool, and I think you’re in a better position than last year where I’ve got more confidence because Declan Rice and [William] Saliba, I think you’re really dangerous.”

Neville went on to claim that Mikel Arteta’s side are more than good enough to finish top of the table as long as they keep on the coattails of Manchester City and Liverpool:

“Just sit on their shoulders, let them fight amongst each other and the narrative be about them because with four or five games to go, you’re definitely the best team. I wanted you to hit form a month or so ago. But now I’m asking have you hit form too early because you’re in an unbelievable period.”

Neville is being very bullish about Arsenal’s title chances

To state that the Gunners are currently the “best team” in the Premier League is certainly bold, especially as the club head into the weekend 3rd in the table, but Neville seems to be very confident about the team’s title credentials. A lot of that is due to their phenomenal recent form.

Arteta’s men have scored 31 goals in their last 7 league games and they could go top of the league if they beat Brentford on Saturday evening.
