“I Don’t Like Excuses” – William Gallas Blasts Arsenal’s Season Despite Their Success In The Champions League

Former Arsenal centre-back William Gallas has said that Arsenal can’t make excuses for losing the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners have seen some success this season, making the semi-finals of the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain. They are currently 1-0 down after the first leg last week.

Mikel Arteta has still been critical of his team this season, however, as they look to finish second in the Premier League for the third consecutive season. Click here to see the likely lineup to face PSG via Facebook.

Former Gunner Gallas has said that he’s angry about what has happened in the Premier League this season, with Liverpool winning the title. He told Prime Casino: “I’m angry about what happened in the league. I’m furious even, because I can’t accept one level of performance in the Champions League and a different level of performance in the Premier League from this group of players.

“We all know that it’s difficult to be consistent in the Premier League, but that is what you have to do if you want to become the champions. You have to show up in every game. I’m disappointed because Arsenal didn’t do that this season and I tipped them to win the title in August.

“They had a great opportunity to become champions this season, and they let it go without a fight. That’s frustrating and difficult for me to understand. Yes, you can say that they had some injury problems, but I don’t like excuses.”

Arsenal can still win the Champions League

The Gunners can still salvage some silverware from this season, as they are in the Champions League semi-finals against PSG.

They are 1-0 down after the first leg, but showed against Real Madrid that they can head away from home and win in the Champions League.

In the second leg against the Spanish side, they beat the La Liga side 2-1 at the Bernabeu. Arteta will be hoping his side can recreate that performance at the Parc de Princes.
