Who Is Bradley Ibrahim? The Teenager Who Is Training With Arsenal’s Squad Ahead Of The Sevilla Game

Arsenal midfielder Bradley Ibrahim was pictured training with the first-team squad before Tuesday night’s game against Sevilla in the Champions League.

The 19-year-old has been included in a matchday squad before by manager Mikel Arteta, having been on the bench for two Europa League group stage fixtures versus Bodo/Glimt and PSV Eindhoven last season.

However, Ibrahim has yet to make his senior debut for the Gunners, so what do fans need to know about the youngster?

The midfielder has been with Arsenal since he was a schoolboy

Ibrahim joined the Gunners from QPR at a young age and he made his way through the youth ranks until establishing himself as a regular for the Under 18s and Under 21s.

He is a holding midfield player by trade, capable of dictating play from deep-lying positions with his incisive passing, as well as being able to break up play with his precise tackling.

On occasion, Ibrahim has also been asked to play in the centre of defence but he is more comfortable in central midfield areas.

Ibrahim has stepped up his game over the last 12 months

The teenager captained Jack Wilshere’s Under 18 side that made it all the way to the FA Youth Cup final last season, before losing to West Ham.

This campaign, Ibrahim has played twice for Arsenal in the UEFA Youth League, whilst also being given opportunities for the Under 21s both in Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy.

He has faced senior opponents for the first time in the latter competition, winning on penalties against Swindon Town in the Gunners’ first group match, before playing the full 90 minutes as the U21s thrashed Exeter City 5-0 a couple of weeks ago.

No doubt, Ibrahim’s performance against the Grecians played a significant role in him being called up for first-team duties.
