Goalkeeper and Defence

GK – David Raya – 7/10 – cleared his lines well and started attacks with plenty of quick throws. Didn’t have a lot to do in terms of shot-stopping, with just one save late on in the match.

RB – Ben White – 8/10 – the defender’s form has improved in recent weeks and he was also asked to play as an inverted fullback which suited him. He worked well in tandem with Saka and got the assist for Rice’s goal.

CB – William Saliba – 8/10 – scored the all-important opener from the corner but he was also dominant against the dangerous Jarrod Bowen, keeping touch-tight to the forward and preventing him from turning and using his pace.

CB – Gabriel – 7/10 –  another set-piece goal means the Brazilian now has 3 in his last 4 matches for the Gunners. Has been extremely consistent since the New Year.

LB – Jakub Kiwior – 7/10 – tasked with replacing Zinchenko and the Polish international did well enough. He wasn’t asked to invert and he looked more comfortable, providing some width and a few good crosses.
