Arsenal Player Ratings V Real Madrid: One Player Gets 10/10 While Two Others Get A 9

Arsenal produced arguably the best performance of Mikel Arteta’s reign as they comfortably beat the European champions at home in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

The Gunners fully deserved to win the game 3-0 with two sublime free kicks from Declan Rice and an outstanding finish from Mikel Merino helping to establish a commanding lead in the tie.

Arteta’s men had several other chances to score on the night, with Thibaut Courtois called into action on multiple occasions, while Real were reduced to fleeting moments on the counter-attack.
