Arsenal have given themselves a huge mountain to climb after losing 2-0 in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Newcastle.

The Magpies were in good form heading into the game and they caused the home side all sorts of problems, especially in the first half.

Mikel Arteta’s side had their chances but they huffed and puffed in front of goal, for the most part, and they failed to find a way back into the game as the visitors held on to their two-goal lead.
