Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – David Raya – 6/10 – flapped at a corner early on but collected a number of crosses late in the match to take the pressure off his defence.
RB – Ben White – 5/10 – the fullback did well to pick out Kai Havertz in the build-up to the goal but he really struggled to deal with Alejandro Garnacho.
CB – William Saliba – 8/10 – a top-drawer display from the Frenchman, with his game summed up in one moment when he calmly slid in to take the ball off Garnacho inside his own box.
CB – Gabriel – 7/10 – not quite at the same level as his centre-back partner but the Brazilian dealt with Rasmus Hojlund when called upon to do so. Importantly, he kept his concentration for the full 96 minutes.
LB – Takehiro Tomiyasu – 7/10 – does everything with a minimum of fuss. Amad Diallo did cause some issues with his tricky feet but the Ivorian found it tough to get past the Arsenal fullback.
