It wasn’t pretty but Arsenal secured an important three points against London rivals Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners had the better of the opening exchanges and deservedly took the lead when Mikel Merino‘s header looped in from a corner.

After that, though, the match descended into a very scrappy affair, with the home side managing to keep things tight at the back to make sure they came out on top.
