Gary Neville And Ian Wright Disagree As They Predict Who Will Win Between Arsenal And Chelsea

Gary Neville and Ian Wright have differing views on what the result will be between Arsenal and Chelsea on Saturday.

The Gunners head into the match at Stamford Bridge in good form, having beaten reigning champions Manchester City before the international break. However, speaking on The Overlap, Neville says he expects the two teams to share the points this weekend:

“Chelsea vs Arsenal, I’m doing that game, I’m going to go with 1-1. 1-1 after the international break.”

Arsenal legend Wright, meanwhile, is more confident that his former club will secure a victory in the London derby:

“I think we’re beating them. We always cause Chelsea a problem at Stamford Bridge, I’ll go with 3-1. No, 2-1 Arsenal.”

Mikel Arteta’s side should be wary of their opponents

While Chelsea do currently sit 11th in the Premier League table, their performances have begun to improve under the management of Mauricio Pochettino.

They have won their last two league fixtures away from home, with a comfortable 2-0 win over Fulham followed by a convincing 4-1 demolition of Burnley last time out.

Chelsea’s home form should give Arsenal some confidence that they can get the 3 points

The Blues have already lost twice at Stamford Bridge this season, being beaten by both Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa. They have actually picked up just 4 points from 4 home fixtures.

When you also consider that the Gunners have won all three of their away games in the Premier League so far, it does suggest that Arteta’s men will have the upper hand.

The bookies tend to agree. Arsenal are currently the favourites, with many pricing them at 5/4 to secure a win this weekend. Whether it will be as easy as Wright says, though, we shall have to wait and see.
