‘What A Player He Is’ ‘Big Future’ Fans Hail Arsenal Star Who Completed 45 Of His 47 Passes Vs Monaco

Arsenal fullback Myles Lewis-Skelly put in a great performance against Monaco in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.

Manager Mikel Arteta was short of options in defence due to injury so he gave the 18-year-old an opportunity to impress.

Lewis-Skelly grabbed his chance with both hands, leaving supporters on X marvelling at his excellent display:

It was a mature performance from Lewis-Skelly

Arteta asked the teenager to play as an inverted fullback, which is not an easy position to play, but he stood up to the plate.

In addition to completing 45 of his 47 passes on the night, Lewis-Skelly delivered a sumptuous through ball in the build-up to the Gunners’ opening goal.

Saka believes his Arsenal teammate can make a big impact at senior level

Asked about Lewis-Skelly in a post-match interview, Bukayo Saka said that the youngster just needs to maintain the same attitude and he could become a regular starter for Arsenal:

“He’s very bright. He just needs to keep the same head that he’s got. His mentality is top, he’s always asking questions, eager to learn. I’m so proud of him.”

It will be interesting to see if Arteta sticks with Lewis-Skelly when the Gunners take on Everton at the Emirates on Saturday.
