It is widely assumed that Arsenal signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea for the “left-sided 8” role that Granit Xhaka played in last season.
With the Swiss international expected to leave the Emirates in the coming weeks, manager Mikel Arteta could be taking a gamble by asking Havertz to fill the void.
His position is not set in stone yet and we will find out more in pre-season but, for argument’s sake, let’s say he will playing as the ‘8’. What can Havertz offer that Xhaka can’t and will he be an upgrade?
