“Oh My God” – Jurgen Klopp Makes Premier League Title Race Prediction About Arsenal

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was extremely impressed with Arsenal’s performance in the 1-1 draw at Anfield on Saturday evening.

The point keeps the Gunners top of the table at Christmas and, speaking about his opponents after the game, Klopp said that Mikel Arteta’s side will be in contention for the Premier League title at the end of the season:

“Oh my god, how strong are they? The good news is we are good as well. City are a very good team as well, but Arsenal will be up there, we hope to be up there. We will really push them.”

Both sides could have arguably secured a win but, based on the chances that the two teams created during the 90 minutes, a point was arguably a fair result.

Arteta’s men have shown their title contenders against their two biggest rivals

After beating Manchester City at home back at the start of October and picking up a draw away to Liverpool, Arsenal have given themselves a great platform for the second half of the campaign.

The defence, in particular, looks formidable, with the likes of William Saliba, Gabriel and Declan Rice looking extremely impressive at the weekend. It will undoubtedly be the backbone of their title challenge.

Do Arsenal need to sign a striker to clinch the title?

The Gunners did manage to open up Liverpool on a number of occasions in both halves. However, the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz didn’t make the most of their opportunities.

That lack of cutting edge up front in the the really big games is something that does concern fans. Many are hoping that the London club will put that right during the January transfer window by bringing in a forward. Whether that will happen, we shall have to wait and see.
