The Croatian international has been hailed as having the potential to be one of the best centre-backs in the world.

However, Guardiola has generally deployed Gvardiol as a left-back or the left-sided centre-half in a back three since his move from RB Leipzig in the summer.


He can be pretty useful in that position but he does lack the pace of a natural fullback which means he is vulnerable when opponents target him one-on-one.

If Bukayo Saka is fit, it could prove to be a good outlet for Arsenal, especially on the counter-attack.
