‘Wow!’ ‘That’s Horrid’ ‘Too Much White’ Arsenal Fans Discuss 24/25 Home Shirt As Designs Leak Out Online

Mock-ups of Arsenal’s home kit for the 2024/25 season have been circulating on social media, and it’s fair to say that there has been mixed response from fans.

Footy Headlines are generally pretty reliable when it comes to new shirt designs and they have been sharing information in recent weeks about Adidas’s next home jersey for the Gunners.

It is believed that there will be plenty of white and blue, particularly on the shoulders and arms, which prompted Footy Headlines to share a photoshopped image of Bukayo Saka in a new kit based on the info they have been given. Supporters on X had differing opinions on what they were seeing:

Adidas are harkening back to Arsenal kits 20+ years ago

From 1998 to 2002, white and blue featured prominently on the shoulders and arms of Arsenal home jerseys. Adidas may have thought it was a good idea to go with this retro look as it harked back to a time when the Gunners were competing for the title every single season.

With Mikel Arteta’s side looking to emulate one of the most successful teams in Arsenal history, some may feel that it is fitting that Adidas are aping the design of those kits as well.
