Arsenal Named As Shock Contender To Sign Ex Spurs Star In January

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all interested in bringing back Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen to the Premier League, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Gunners are in desperate need of a playmaker and it seems they are considering a controversial approach for the former Spurs player, who will be available in the January transfer window.

Inter only signed Eriksen for £25m at the start of the year but they have already decided to dispense with his services as they look to make room to sign another midfielder.

The Danish international’s wages mean only a select group of clubs could afford to sign him, which suggests a return to the Premier League is the likeliest possibility.

At the moment, Inter are not willing to loan out Eriksen, which may prevent Arsenal from making a move for the 28-year-old, but the Italian club’s stance could change if they are unable to shift him before the end of January.
