Arsenal are one of three teams interested in Barcelona midfielder Rafinha, according to reports in the Catalan media. It is likely that technical director Edu is a fan of the 27-year-old after watching him during his time with the Brazil national team.

The Brazilian is currently on loan at Celta Vigo, and the Spanish side do have an option to buy him for €16m (£14m) this summer but there are doubts over the move due to the club’s financial situation.

Barca could look to use Rafinha in their bid to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan, with the midfielder having spent some time on loan at the Nerazzurri in 2018.

However, despite having a €35m purchase option on the Brazilian international, the Serie A side opted against keeping him, indicating a return to Italy is unlikely.

The Gunners are probably eyeing Rafinha as a possible loan target, with the London club having limited funds, but Barcelona are keen on selling the player outright in order to increase their own transfer kitty.
