Arsenal have made an initial enquiry for Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga, according to Footmercato.net. The French website claims the Gunners are one of thirteen teams who are interested in the 23-year-old.
Napoli, AC Milan, Atalanta, Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Monchengladbach, Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen, Rennes, Nice, Sevilla, Barcelona and Manchester United are all keeping tabs on the Ivorian.
Boga was sold by Chelsea for just €4.5m (£4m) last summer and he has gone on to excel for Sassuolo in Serie A, having scored 10 goals and contributed four assists in 29 appearances.
His club have reportedly already rejected a €22m (£20m) bid from Napoli and the Partenopei have not returned with a second offer for the player.
However, Footmercato say that if a team were to table a proposal in the region of €30m (£27m), it could well be enough to sign Boga. At the moment, it doesn’t appear likely that Arsenal will follow up their interest with a formal bid, but that may change in the coming months.
