Arsenal Named As One Of 3 Teams Pursuing French Ace Who Is ‘Likely To Leave’ Championship Side

Arsenal are interested in signing Reading winger Michael Olise, according to the Daily Mail. With the domestic transfer window closing on Friday, the newspaper reports that the France Under 18 international is “likely to leave” the Madjeski Stadium. The Gunners are said to be one of three teams keen on snapping up the player, along with Leeds and Wolves.

Olise has had a good start to the season in the Championship, having scored one goal and contributed two assists in four appearances so far. He usually plays off the right-wing, cutting in onto his stronger left foot.

The 18-year-old can be used in other positions, though, having also been utilised on the left-wing as well as a central midfielder by Royals boss Veljko Paunovic.

Olise spent some time at Manchester City and Chelsea’s academies before making his first-team breakthrough at Reading, and his talent has certainly caught the attention of Premier League teams. Whether Arsenal will make a formal approach before Friday’s deadline, we shall have to wait and see.
