Arsenal Named Among 4 Clubs Tracking Unsettled Juventus Star Who Is ‘Pressing’ For More Game Time

Arsenal are one of four teams tracking unsettled Juventus star Merih Demiral, according to Calciomercato.com. The Italian website reports the Gunners, along with Chelsea, AC Milan and Roma have all “courted” the defender.

The 22-year-old is said to be “pressing” for more playing time under manager Andrea Pirlo, with the Turkish international worried that his lack of match action could hinder his selection chances for this summer’s European Championships.

Demiral has started just one league game since the end of November, although a muscular injury has also had an impact on the minutes he has played. However, even when the centre-back returned to fitness at the beginning of January, Pirlo has favoured the experience of Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci.

The Turkish defender did start in the Coppa Italia versus SPAL last night but if he doesn’t feature against Sampdoria on Saturday, the player may well consider his options ahead of the transfer window closing at the start of next week.
